![]() Sorry to have waffled on and apologies if I've missed something really obvious but I'd appreciate any pointers to either a fix these issues or to just accept that's just how it has to be and get on with my life. How do I get Reaper to pick up the output from GR (5 btw). ![]() Not so much a connectivity / visibility issue but I know Kasper mention recording in Reaper, having set up a 'basic' Cabinet set up in GR. I know I can monitor the AI output to the PC using its headphones jack but if I'm say using an effects set in GR I don't hear the 'finished' product or would not be able to here the backing track I want to record over in Reaper!!!!!!!!!! How can I set my configs up in order to hear the output from both Reaper and Guitar Rig? I've read somewhere on line that if you are using an USB AI it bypasses the PC soundcard but if that's the case, how come Audacity let me hear what I'm recording in situ via speakers or phones? MMMmmm? apart from Audacity where I can direct output to either speakers or head phones, if I set up Reaper or Guitar Rig with the USB AI as the input source I cannot hear what is being recorded or hear a backing track in Reaper if I want to play record over it (pretty fundamental need?). as GR can be setup to use front mic and AI usb but does not recognize back mic or Line In. can be setup to use front mic and AI usb but does not recognize back mic or Line In. Riffstation but not impacted by any issues.I hope. Zoom GFX7007 multi effect pedal - direct to PC via Mic Port or in line between guitar and amp (could just loop on amp) or could also input via AIīehringer Xenyx Q802 USB Audio Interface (ostensibly for recording acoustic and possible vocals) via eh USB port would you believe My set up is as follows (apart from the guitars) :īehringer GX110 Ultaroc multi effects amp -connected normally Line In or Phones jack to PC Mic Ports Please note that I did check and adjust recording levels in Windows / Speaker Level and some of these had been on the low side (all now set to 80 ) before checking every config. ![]() In a week when I finally consistently nailed that 1st fret E-Shaped barre on both my acoustics, I've wasted way too much practice time, getting my home recording configuration set up!!! I'm hoping someone out in the forum will either be able to offer me solutions to the 'problems' I've found or confirm that's basically how things are. Apart from Audacity which can be 'fed' by all entry points (USB, Line In, Front and Back Mics). Basically despite having 4 possible points of signal entry into my PC, my applications don't seem to see all of them. ![]() Having spent most of the week trying to get Reaper to see and acknowledge the existence of my Behringer Xenyx Q802USB Audio Interface, I've spent this afternoon connecting up my guitar, amps and pedals to my PC and working out exactly what my audio / DAW applications can or cannot see. Hopefully the following will make more sense than the Subject title but I couldn't think of what else to call this! ![]()
